Wireframe is a commissioned environmental installation on the grounds of the I-Park Foundation in East Haddam, CT.
Wireframe is on view as part of the 2013 Environmental Art Biennial – Opening September 22, 2013.
The piece uses the wireframe both as an aesthetic device and a critical one, highlighting the disconnect between the way we map digital and physical environments and the way conventions of representation get internalized. The gridded isotropic plane transposed onto the 3,500 sf Pine Circle area and the triangular sails suspended above form one of three parts of this project – the other two are image based.
